As you step into Coconut Grove, you’re instantly transported to a different world. The lush greenery, the laid back attitude of the “Grovites,” and the serenity of Biscayne Bay give Coconut Grove a much different vide then the rest of Miami.
Surprisingly, not many tourists visit the Coconut Grove much less stay in the area—which is quite a shame! So I’ve put together a list of the best hotels in Coconut Grove.
Coconut Grove is by far one of my favorite spots in Miami (it’s also the neighborhood where I live, so I might be biased). Whether you are visiting Miami for business or pleasure, Coconut Grove has a hotel that suits your needs and budget.
Hotels in Coconut Grove: My Top Picks
- Mr. C – Coconut Grove — best for luxurious simplicity
- Mayfair House Hotel & Garden — most unique experience
- Hotel Arya — best value with great location at a reasonable rate
Best Hotels Coconut Grove, Miami
Coconut Grove is home to some of the Miami’s most stylish hotels. But whether you’re looking for a high-end getaway or a budget-friendly option, there’s plenty to choose from.
Without further ado, here’s a list of the best hotels in Coconut Grove, Miami:
Mr. C Miami – Coconut Grove
Mr. C Miami – Coconut Grove, which describes itself as a ‘modern version of old-world simplicity and stylish European glamour,’ is a 5-star boutique hotel that offers an excellent location (steps away from CocoWalk) and unbeatable views of Biscayne Bay. The hotel also features the Bellini restaurant, which serves delicious Italian cuisine (and delicious classic cocktails!), and a rooftop pool that provides a relaxing escape from the city. Designed to look like a cruise ship, the hotel offers private balconies in all rooms. Mr. C also has a bicycle loan program and dedicated beach access on South Beach. If that wasn’t enough, Mr. C is also pet-friendly.
Mayfair House Hotel & Garden
“The Mayfair” was built in 1925 and went through a well-deserved renovation, which was completed in 2022 — and since then, there’s not a single list of the best hotels in Coconut Grove that doesn’t include it! Known as Mayfair Hotel & Spa prior to the renovation, the Mayfair House Hotel & Garden is a 5-star sanctuary that offers free wifi, a rooftop pool and quaint private terraces. Some rooms even have a Japanese soaking tub! This pet-friendly hotel is more than just a stay; it’s a true Coconut Grove experience where you can immerse yourself is it’s unique architecture, artisan finishes, and lush greenery. Did I mention it’s right in the middle of Coconut Grove’s historic center?
Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove
The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove is a 5-star hotel that is a staple of the city. While the property itself lacks that grandioseness and opulence that you’d expect from a Ritz-Carlton hotel, it is located enticingly close to Regatta Park (literally across the street) and offers views of Biscayne Bay. The hotel has a hot tub, fitness center, spa, and if you’re dreaming of a fairytale wedding, they’ve got a great event space, too. Don’t judge me but my favorite feature of the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove is The Commodore, a classic cocktail lounge with live music and an incredible selection of Scotch whisky. Aye.
Hotel Arya Coconut Grove
If you’re looking for a cozy 3-star escape, Hotel Arya has you covered. While certainly not as posh as some of the other options on this list, Hotel Arya is the best value of all the best hotels in Coconut Grove. Dive into their rooftop pool, enjoy free wifi, and soak up its prime location. Just steps away, you’ll find CocoWalk, restaurants, shops, and oh, that rooftop pool? It has incredible views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline. Located across the street from Mr. C, Hotel Arya is a more affordable option to benefit from the same privileged location and views.
Courtyard by Marriott Miami Coconut Grove
Courtyard offers a dependable 3-star stay, with amenities like free wifi and an outdoor pool that’ll make you feel right at home. And if you’re a fan of seafood or just fancy a drink, it’s a short walk from Monty’s Raw Bar. The Bayshore Club is a bit further down the street and CocoWalk is a 10-minute stroll away. Convenience meets comfort. That’s why I consider it one of the best hotels in Coconut Grove.
