Countries Allowing Vaccinated Travelers
UPDATE: As of June 11, 2021, I am no longer updating this list since things are changing so rapidly. For a more updated account of countries accepting vaccinated American travelers, check this article.
Where can vaccinated travelers go? Here are the countries allowing vaccinated travelers in 2021.
This list only contains countries where travelers may enter with just proof of a vaccine (and no other requirements, such as presenting a negative COVID-19 test, or submitting to quarantine.)
The countries on this list are all open to American travelers, but be sure to double-check with your country’s embassy if you’re traveling from somewhere other than the United States.
I will update this list regularly as more countries open to vaccinated travelers.

Bahamas
Dreaming of a Caribbean getaway? The Bahamas is now open to vaccinated travelers, as long as the vaccine was administered at least two weeks prior to traveling.
Unvaccinated travelers must provide a negative PCR test taken within 5 days before traveling. The result must be uploaded into the Bahamas online travel health visa before arriving. For all stays over four nights, a rapid antigen test must be taken on the fifth day.
However, these requirements can all be bypassed with proof of vaccination.
Belize
Travelers can enter Belize with proof of a vaccine administered at least two weeks prior to traveling. Unvaccinated travelers can still enter the country as long as they have a negative PCR test taken within 96 hours prior to traveling, or a negative rapid antigen test taken within 48 hours prior to traveling. Children under the age of five are exempt.
Bulgaria
This Eastern European country is now welcoming vaccinated travelers.
As long as you have proof of a vaccine administered at least two weeks prior to traveling, you can enter this nation known for its historic capital Sofia, Black Sea beach resorts, and winter skiing.
Another option for entering Bulgaria is presenting a negative PCR or rapid antigen test taken within 72 hours of traveling, or provide proof of recovery from COVID.
Croatia
Croatia has reopened to vaccinated tourists who have proof of the vaccine administered at least two weeks prior to traveling.
Alternatively, you can present a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours prior to traveling. (The same rule applies for rapid antigen tests, but a second test must be taken 10 days later if the traveler is still in Croatia.) Travelers who were diagnosed with and recovered from COVID-19 no more than 180 days prior to arrival are also able to enter.
Children under the age of seven are exempt.
Additionally, all travelers to Croatia must have proof of accommodation that has already been paid for. (The reservation alone is not enough.)
